While my music focus is generally on my metal band, Black Halo, the performances for that debut album Utopia are long since done, as are the guitar play through videos. The result?
I’m now working on adding 3-5 more songs to the follow-up to the Serenade of Strings acoustic guitar album. Like Utopia, much of it has been done for a decade, but the album is a little short as is.
This past month, I’ve written one new piece (the rhythm parts anyway) and have another I’m working on. It’s good to be back. I’ll definitely be sticking with this because, to be the calluses on my left hand aren’t nearly thick enough to play some of it well. I’ve got to play steel string acoustic regularly for that, so I’ll be playing all the time now to both write and record. I’m confident of finishing that up for 2026 release, but with so many things on my plate, don’t quote me.
